Yeah I was convinced that it was aluminum because we did the vinegar and muratic acid and when i got back to Chads to pick it up the next day it wasnt really rusted after about 22 hours. Then I came out the next morning and it was kind of rusted. Then this morning I decided to drive it in the snow to see if it would get better(or worse....idk), and sure enough it went crazy once the snow hit it. I love it, Im gonna let it do its things for a few weeks and see what shade it turns, but if it doesnt get any darker im going to rub some used oil into it and make it a bit darker.

Mine is super dark but it's also been rusted for a couple of years.

This is the exact hood I have. Came off this car, then got transferred over to the black wagon (that my buddy now owns) and I acquired it through a trade. Has since been sitting against the back wall of our barn.

CAM TIME!!!! lol I tried so hard not to, but I ordered an Autotech 270....I watched like 10 videos of 8v's with them and was sold. Sounds so baller. After I paid for it, they email me telling me they are 3 weeks out tho. Oh well, something to look forward to.

Geez, havent posted on my log in a few days.

Couple updates:

-Got a Thule roof rack on and looks sick thanks to Shaun.

-Got the car buffed and that shiz looks amazing. Fixed the rf fender that was spray painted and did a number on the doors and such.

-Hood is rusting like a mofo

-Ordered all the parts to do the timing belt, water pump, and cam when the cam comes in.

Sadly no pics to verify, so im probably lying....lol hope to have some good pics after the meet tomorrow
